คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ต้อนรับตัวแทนจาก ผู้แทนองค์การสุขภาพสัตว์โลก ประจำอนุภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้
ในวันศุกร์ที่ 3 ตุลาคม 2568 ที่ผ่านมา รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร. สัตวแพทย์หญิงวลาสินี ศักดิ์คำดวง คณบดีคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล พร้อมด้วยบุคลากรคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ และตัวแทนจากศูนย์เฝ้าระวังและติดตามโรคจากสัตว์ป่า สัตว์ต่างถิ่นและสัตว์อพยพ และศูนย์สุขภาพสัตว์ป่าแห่งชาติ ร่วมต้อนรับสัตวแพทย์หญิง ดร. นรี เกตุสิงห์ ผู้แทนองค์การสุขภาพสัตว์โลก ประจำอนุภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ และ Dr. Kinley Choden เจ้าหน้าที่จากองค์การฯ ดังกล่าว เข้าเยี่ยมเยือนคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล วิทยาเขตศาลายา ในโอกาสนี้ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร. สัตวแพทย์หญิงศรินทร์ สุวรรณภักดี หัวหน้าศูนย์เฝ้าระวังและติดตามโรคจากสัตว์ป่า สัตว์ต่างถิ่นและสัตว์อพยพได้ร่วมต้อนรับและเป็นวิทยากรบรรยายแนะนำข้อมูลศูนย์เฝ้าระวังฯ และศูนย์สุขภาพสัตว์ป่าแห่งชาติ
ทั้งนี้ ศูนย์เฝ้าระวังฯ และศูนย์สุขภาพสัตว์ป่าแห่งชาติได้รับการแต่งตั้งจาก องค์การสุขภาพสัตว์โลกให้เป็น World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) Collaborating Centre for Wildlife Health Surveillance and Epidemiology ณ ที่ประชุม General Session of WOAH ครั้งที่ 92 กรุงปารีส ประเทศฝรั่งเศส ในวันที่ 25 พฤษภาคม 2568 ที่ผ่านมา
จากนั้น สัตวแพทย์หญิง ดร. นรี เกตุสิงห์ และตัวแทน ได้ร่วมหารือการดำเนินกิจกรรมทางวิชาการ่วมกันก่อนเข้าเยี่ยมชมห้องปฏิบัติการทางวิทยาศาสตร์ของศูนย์เฝ้าระวังฯ บริเวณชั้น 9 อาคารเรียนและปฏิบัติการรวมฯ คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล สำหรับการเยี่ยมเยือนคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ในครั้งนี้ คณะ หวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าจะนำมาซึ่งการจัดกิจกรรมร่วมกันเพิ่มเติมระหว่างคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ในฐานะ WOAH Collaborating Centre for Wildlife Health Surveillance and Epidemiology และเสริมสร้างเครือข่ายการทำงานทางด้านสุขภาพสัตว์ป่าทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ

Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University, Welcomes Representatives from the World Organisation for Animal Health – Sub-Regional Representation of the South-East Asia
On Friday, October 3, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Wanasinee Sakcamduang, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University, along with faculty staff, representatives from the Monitoring and Surveillance Center for Zoonotic Diseases in Wildlife and Exotic Animals (MoZWE), and the Thailand – National Wildlife Health Center (Thailand – NWHC) welcomed Dr. Naree Ketusing, Sub-Regional Representative of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) Sub-Regional Representation for the South-East Asia (SRR SEA), and Dr. Kinley Choden, Officer from WOAH SRR SEA.
The delegates visited the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University, at the Salaya campus. On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Sarin Suwanpakdee, Head of MoZWE, also welcomed the guests and presented an overview of MoZWE and Thailand - NWHC.
MoZWE and Thailand - NWHC were recently designated by WOAH as the WOAH Collaborating Centre for Wildlife Health Surveillance and Epidemiology at the 92nd WOAH General Session in Paris, France, on May 25, 2025.
Following the presentation, Dr. Naree Ketusing and the WOAH representative discussed plans for joint academic activities before touring MoZWE’s laboratory on the 9th floor of the faculty’s lecture and laboratory building.
The faculty sincerely hopes this visit will lead to future collaborative activities between the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University, in its capacity as the WOAH Collaborating Centre for Wildlife Health Surveillance and Epidemiology, and strengthen the network for wildlife health work both domestically and internationally.
