เมื่อวันที่ 23 กันยายน 2569 คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ให้การต้อนรับ Professor Tamaki OKABAYASHI, Vice Director of the Center for Animal Disease Control (CADIC) และตัวแทนจาก Faculty of Agriculture, University of Miyazaki ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ในโอกาสเดินทางมาเยือนและร่วมประชุมหารือ ณ คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล วิทยาเขตศาลายา
ในการนี้ คณะผู้บริหารนำโดย รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร. สัตวแพทย์หญิงวลาสินี ศักดิ์คำดวง คณบดีคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ พร้อมด้วย รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร. นายสัตวแพทย์อนุวัตน์ วิรัชสุดากุล รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ สื่อสารองค์กร และเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ อาจารย์ ดร. นายสัตวแพทย์เนติ์ ตันประดิษฐ ผู้ช่วยคณบดีฝ่ายบริการวิชาการปศุสัตว์และสัตว์ป่า ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร. สัตวแพทย์หญิงจีรวัฒน์ สุนทรสิต รองผู้อำนวยการโรงพยาบาลปศุสัตว์ประศุอาทร ได้ร่วมต้อนรับและประชุมหารือร่วมกันเกี่ยวกับแนวทางความร่วมมือด้านการวิจัย ตลอดจนการต่ออายุบันทึกความเข้าใจ (MoU) และข้อตกลงความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบัน
ภายหลังการประชุม Professor OKABAYASHI ได้เข้าเยี่ยมชมห้องปฏิบัติการของศูนย์เฝ้าระวังและติดตามโรคจากสัตว์ป่า สัตว์ต่างถิ่น และสัตว์อพยพ (MoZWE) ซึ่งเป็นหน่วยงานภายใต้คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล และยังได้รับแต่งตั้งเป็นศูนย์ความร่วมมือด้านการเฝ้าระวังทางสุขภาพสัตว์ป่าและระบาดวิทยา ขององค์การสุขภาพสัตว์โลก (WOAH Collaborating Center for Wildlife Health Surveillance and Epidemiology) โดยมี ดร.ลดาวัลย์ สาริยา รองหัวหน้าศูนย์เฝ้าระวังฯ พร้อมด้วยทีมนักวิจัย ร่วมนำชมห้องปฏิบัติการและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับผลงานวิจัยอย่างใกล้ชิด
การเยือนในครั้งนี้นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระดับนานาชาติ และขับเคลื่อนแนวคิด "สุขภาพหนึ่งเดียว" (One Health) เพื่อรับมือกับภัยคุกคามจากโรคติดต่อระหว่างสัตว์และคน พร้อมทั้งเปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาและนักวิจัยด้านสัตวแพทย์ได้เรียนรู้และเพิ่มพูนประสบการณ์ในระดับสากล

On September 23, 2026, the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University (MUVS), warmly welcomed Professor Tamaki OKABAYASHI, Vice Director of the Center for Animal Disease Control (CADIC) and representative of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Miyazaki (FA-UM), Japan, for a consultative meeting at the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The delegation was hosted by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Walasinee Sakcamduang, Dean of MUVS, alongside Assoc.Prof.Dr. Anuwat Wiratsudakul, Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations and Information Technology, Dr. Nae Tanpradit, Assistant Dean for Academic Services for Livestock and Wildlife, and Asst.Prof.Dr. Jeerawat Soonthorsit, an executive from the Prasu Arthorn Veterinary Teaching Hospital, and International Relations Officers. Both institutions engaged in a discussion on possible research collaboration and the renewal of the institutional agreements. Then, Prof. OKABAYASHI visited the laboratory of the Monitoring and Surveillance Center for Zoonotic Diseases in Wildlife and Exotic Animals (MoZWE), a center under the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University, and a World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) Collaborating Center for Wildlife Health Surveillance and Epidemiology. Dr. Ladawan Sariya, MoZWE Deputy Head, and the team of MoZWE Researchers gave the tour and discussed their research with Prof. OKABAYASHI.
This visit marks a significant milestone in reinforcing international academic networks, promoting "One Health" initiatives against zoonotic threats, and providing world-class global exposure for veterinary scientists and students.
