ในวันที่ 25 พฤศจิกายน 2567 คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ได้จัดกิจกรรมบรรยายพิเศษรูปแบบ hybrid ในหัวข้อ “Mortality rate in equine anaesthesia: an update on the Confidential Enquiry into Equine Perioperative Fatalities 4 (CEPEF4) study” โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก Dr. Miguel Gozalo Marcilla, Senior Lecturer in Anaesthesia and Analgesia จาก The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary และ The Roslin Institute, The University of Edinburgh ประเทศสกอตแลนด์ เป็นวิทยากรบรรยายให้กับบุคลากรและนักศึกษาของคณะ ตลอดจนบุคคลภายนอกที่สนใจ โดยมีรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สัตวแพทย์หญิงวลาสินี ศักดิ์คำดวง คณบดีคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ร่วมกล่าวต้อนรับวิทยากรและผู้ร่วมกิจกรรมในครั้งนี้
นอกจากการบรรยายพิเศษดังกล่าว Dr. Marcilla ยังได้เยี่ยมชมโรงพยาบาลสัตว์ประศุอาทร และเป็นวิทยากรบรรยายพิเศษ หัวข้อ “Clinical approach to equine anaesthesia – Premedication/induction, maintenance, and recovery” ให้กับบุคลากรและนักศึกษาของคณะ กิจกรรมทั้งหมดเกิดขึ้นภายใต้ความร่วมมือระหว่างคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล และ The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary, The University of Edinburgh ประเทศสกอตแลนด์ เพื่อส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้และประสบการณ์ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งทางด้านการวางยาสลบในสัตว์ และเพื่อส่งเสริมเครือข่ายทางวิชาการระหว่างสองสถาบัน

On November 25, 2024, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University, in collaboration with The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, The University of Edinburgh, recently hosted a hybrid clinical talk and special lecture. The clinical talk with the topic entitled “Mortality rate in equine anaesthesia; an update on the Confidential Inquiry into Equine Perioperative Fatalities 4 (CEPEF4) study” was delivered by Dr. Miguel Gozalo Marcilla, Senior Lecturer in Anaesthesia and Analgesia, from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, The University of Edinburgh, served as the speaker. At the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Walasinee Sakcamduang, Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University, warmly welcomed Dr. Marcilla and the participants, both onsite and online. This event was opened to faculty staff, students, and others.
In addition to the clinical talk, Dr. Marcilla conducted a special lecture for faculty personnel and students on “Clinical approach to equine anaesthesia - Premedication/induction, maintenance, and recovery” and visited Prasu Arthorn – Veterinary Teaching Hospital. These events were organized to foster knowledge exchange and strengthen the academic network between the two institutions, particularly in the field of animal anaesthesia.
