คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล จัดกิจกรรม Ecohealth Rotation 2026 ซึ่งเป็นกิจกรรมที่จัดขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องระหว่างคณะ และ Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) ประเทศแคนาดา โดยในปี 2569 คณะฯ ได้จัดกิจกรรมขึ้นในระหว่างวันที่ 26 มกราคม 2569 ถึง 6 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 เพื่อส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้และความร่วมมือทางวิชาการด้านสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ในระดับนานาชาติ
ในการนี้ รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร. สัตวแพทย์หญิงวลาสินี ศักดิ์คำดวง คณบดีคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ได้ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานในการต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมและกล่าวเปิดกิจกรรม อย่างเป็นทางการ
การจัดกิจกรรมครั้งนี้ คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ ให้การต้อนรับ Assistant Professor Megan Jones Assistant และ Professor Sonja Saksida พร้อมด้วยนักศึกษาสัตวแพทย์จาก UPEI เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมร่วมกับคณาจารย์และนักศึกษาคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล โดยกิจกรรมประกอบด้วยการเรียนการสอนและการฝึกปฏิบัติด้านสัตวแพทย์สาธารณสุขและวิทยาการระบาด ภายใต้แนวคิด Ecohealth ซึ่งมุ่งเน้นความเชื่อมโยงระหว่างสุขภาพของมนุษย์ สัตว์ และสิ่งแวดล้อม กิจกรรมยังครอบคลุมถึงการศึกษาดูงานนอกสถานที่ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการเรียนรู้ด้านสัตวแพทย์สาธารณสุขและวิทยาการระบาด
ในโอกาสนี้ Assistant Professor Megan Jones ยังให้เกียรติเป็นวิทยากรบรรยายหัวข้อ “Avian Influenza Surveillance Program in Canada” ให้กับบุคลากรและนักศึกษาของคณะผู้สนใจได้รับฟัง ตลอดจนได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นหลังการบรรยาย
กิจกรรม Ecohealth Rotation 2026 นอกจากจะเป็นการส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และประสบการณ์ทางด้านสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ระหว่างสถาบันในระดับนานาชาติแล้ว ยังเปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาและบุคลากรของทั้งสองสถาบันได้เรียนรู้ด้านวิทยาการระบาดและสุขภาพเชิงบูรณาการ โดยผสมผสานหลักการจากหลายสาขา อาทิ นิเวศวิทยา สาธารณสุข และการสัตวแพทย์ อันเป็นการเสริมสร้างทักษะและมุมมองระดับสากลให้กับผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม

The Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University, organized Ecohealth Rotation 2026, a program that has been conducted continuously in collaboration with the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), Canada. In 2026, the program was held from January 26th to February 6th, 2026, with the aim of promoting international academic collaboration and knowledge exchange in veterinary science.
On January 26th, 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Walasinee Sakcamduang, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University, graciously presided over the welcoming ceremony and officially opened the program.
The Faculty welcomed Assistant Professor Megan Jones and Assistant Professor Sonja Saksida along with veterinary students from UPEI, to participate in the program alongside faculty members and students of the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University. The activities included teaching, practical training, and field trip in veterinary public health and epidemiology under the Ecohealth concept, emphasizing the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health.
On this occasion, Assistant Professor Megan Jones also honored us as a guest speaker, presenting on the topic 'Avian Influenza Surveillance Program in Canada' to interested faculty members and students. The session concluded with a productive exchange of ideas and discussion following the lecture.
In addition to fostering international academic exchange in veterinary science, the Ecohealth Rotation 2026 program provided valuable opportunities for students and staff to gain insights into epidemiology and integrated health approaches. The program integrates principles from multiple disciplines, including ecology, public health, and veterinary medicine, thereby developing global perspectives and competencies among participants.
