คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ ร่วมกับตัวแทนจากกรมปศุสัตว์ ให้การต้อนรับตัวแทนจาก World Organisation for Animal Health ในกิจกรรม DLD PVS Follow-up Mission

        ในวันศุกร์ที่ 2 สิงหาคม 2567 ที่ผ่านมา คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล นำโดย รศ.ดร.สพ.ญ.วลาสินี ศักด์คำดวง คณบดี และคณะผู้บริหารประกอบด้วย รศ.ดร.น.สพ. อนุวัตน์ วิรัชสุดากุล รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ สื่อสารองค์กร และเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ ผศ.ดร.สพ.ญ. ศรินทร์ สุวรรณภักดี หัวหน้าศูนย์เฝ้าระวังและติดตามโรคจากสัตว์ป่า สัตว์ต่างถิ่นและสัตว์อพยพ อ.ดร.น.สพ.เนติ์ ตันประดิษฐ์ ผู้ช่วยคณบดีฝ่ายบริการวิชาการปศุสัตว์และสัตว์ป่า และ ผศ.ดร.สพ.ญ.จีรวัฒน์ สุนทรสิต รองผู้อำนวยการโรงพยาบาลสัตว์ประศุอาทร ได้ให้การต้อนรับคณะผู้ตรวจประเมินระบบสัตวแพทย์บริการ (Performance of Veterinary Services; PVS) จากองค์การสุขภาพสัตว์โลก (World Organisation for Animal Health; WOAH) ประกอบด้วย Dr. Sabine Hutter Dr. Hichem Bouzghaia Dr. Budimir Plavsic และ Dr. Ibrahim Diallo และคณะทำงานจากกรมปศุสัตว์ นำโดย สพ.ญ. นพวรรณ บัวมีธูป และ น.สพ.ดร. วีรพงษ์ ธนพงศ์ธรรม เข้าร่วมการต้อนรับและการตรวจประเมินฯ ณ ห้องพยัคฆ์ไกรสี อาคารเรียนและปฏิบัติการรวมฯ คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล กิจกรรมการตรวจประเมินระบบสัตวแพทย์บริการ (Performance of Veterinary Services; PVS) หรือ DLD PVS Follow-Up Mission ในครั้งนี้ เป็นการตรวจประเมินข้อมูลพื้นฐานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการให้บริการทางการสัตวแพทย์ด้านสุขภาพสัตว์ของประเทศไทย อาทิ ทรัพยากรบุคคล โครงสร้างพื้นฐาน บทบาท หน้าที่ และขีดความสามารถในด้านวิชาการ การมีส่วนร่วมของหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง และการเปิดตลาดสินค้าปศุสัตว์ เป็นต้น โดยคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ได้บรรยายเพื่อแนะนำข้อมูลต่าง ๆ อาทิ ประวัติความเป็นมาและศักยภาพตลอดจนความพร้อมทั้งด้านบุคลากรและอาคารสถานที่ในการผลิตบัณฑิตหลักสูตรสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ การให้บริการทางวิชาการ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในการเฝ้าระวังและติดตามโรคจากสัตว์สู่คน และการสร้างความร่วมมือทั้งในระดับประเทศและนานาชาติ เพื่อส่งเสริมการเรียนการสอน การให้บริการวิชาการ และการเฝ้าติดตามโรคฯ ก่อนที่ทางคณะฯ ร่วมด้วยตัวแทนจากกรมปศุสัตว์จะได้ร่วมตอบข้อซักถามจาก WOAH expert team และนำคณะดังกล่าว เข้าเยี่ยมชมโรงพยาบาลสัตว์ประศุอาทร และห้องปฏิบัติการทางวิทยาศาสตร์ของศูนย์เฝ้าระวังและติดตามโรคจากสัตว์ป่า สัตว์ต่างถิ่นและสัตว์อพยพ ต่อไป 

Mahidol University’s Faculty of Veterinary Science welcomed WOAH expert team and DLD representatives for the DLD PVS Follow-up Mission

        On Friday, August 2, 2024, the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Walasinee Sakcamduang, Dean, along with the faculty's executives, including Associate Professor Dr. Anuwat Wiratsudakul, Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations and Information Technology; Assistant Professor Dr. Sarin Suwanpakdee, Head of the Monitoring and Surveillance Center for Zoonotic Diseases in Wildlife and Exotic Animals (MoZWE); Dr. Nae Tanpradit, Assistant Dean for Academic Services for Livestock and Wildlife; and Assistant Professor Dr. Jeerawat Soonthrasit, Deputy Director of the Prasu Arthorn Veterinary Teaching Hospital, warmly welcomed the Performance of Veterinary Services (PVS) expert team from the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH). The meeting was held in Bayaka Kraisi meeting room. The WOAH expert team consists of Dr. Sabine Hutter, Dr. Hichem Bouzghaia, Dr. Budimir Plavsic, and Dr. Ibrahim Diallo. The team was accompanied by a working group from the Department of Livestock Development (DLD), led by Dr. Noppawan Buameethup and Dr. Weerapong Thanapongtharm. For this WOAH Performance of Veterinary Services (PVS) activity, also known as the DLD PVS Follow-Up Mission, aimed to assess essential aspects of veterinary health services in Thailand. These included evaluating human and physical resources, technical authority and capability, interaction with stakeholders as well as access to the markets. During the visit, the Faculty of Veterinary Science presented an overview of its history, potential, and readiness in terms of personnel and facilities for producing graduates in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. The presentations also highlighted academic services, particularly in the surveillance and monitoring of zoonotic diseases, and the faculty's efforts to foster national and international collaborations to enhance education, academic services, and disease monitoring. Following the presentations, the faculty, along with representatives from the Department of Livestock Development engaged in a Q&A session with the WOAH expert team. The WOAH expert team was then given a tour of the Prasu Arthon Veterinary Teaching Hospital and the MoZWE’s laboratory facilities.
